The 11th and final episode of Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka IV: Shin Shou - Meikyuu-hen (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? IV) announced on Saturday its second cours will broadcast in January 2023. The official Twitter also revealed a key visual (pictured) and announcement video. The anime is scheduled to broadcast on January 5 at 11:00 p.m. on Abema, followed by Tokyo MX, BS11, and AT-X.

The anime series, abbreviated as DanMachi, adapts Fujino Omori's adventure fantasy light novel, which he originally submitted for the 4th GA Bunko Award in 2012 and received a publication offer. SB Creative began publishing the novel with illustrations by Suzuhito Yasuda in January 2013 and released the 17th volume in April 2021. DanMachi has over 12 million cumulative copies of its volumes in circulation.

J.C.Staff adapted the light novel into a 13-episode television anime in Spring 2015, followed by the second season and third season in Summer 2019 and Fall 2020. The fourth and latest season premiered on July 21.

Yen Press licensed the novel in English in April 2014 and released the 17th volume on September 6.

Might as well go read the LN?! xD

Besides even if you tell me you aren't into LN, if you like Shinoa, you have a bit to gain to reach Owari no Seraph LNs.

Oh im already past this arc within the LN lol
Just can't wait to see it animated that's all.

And regarding Owari i think you mean the manga since the spin off LN's aren't animated.

I was meaning Guren Ichinose 16 stuff, thought already on manga, I believe the LN is still far superior.

But why they split it then? Rumors even talked about it as one show with 22 episodes.

The same in what sense?

I would assume it's split for production reasons. The info we had at the time was that it was simply a season of 22 episodes.
The Split cour info was meant to be revealed after episode 11 aired. But it got leaked after episode 10 aired.

On your signature, it shows TenKen, DanMachi and Edgerunners, and i like those a lot, is what i meant :)

Does my signature show? I thought it stopped updating.

It's more or less the same arc, so it makes sense to keep it in one season split cours.

Hey we like the same things :)

I understand why they do split cours, but why not just wrap it up as new seasons? They still get new posters, OP/EDs and adapt new arcs, etc.

I notice a new entry for the second cour has been made but the subtitle is wrong and needs to be changed. Its Shin Shou - Yakusai-hen.

No sightings of Hestia on the cover and on the PV is a very good sign that this anime won't become a trainwreck.

Gonna hope JC keeps up the good work for the rest of the season.

I remember seeing rumors about this season being 2 cours but I wasn't sure if it was continuous or split. This is good news though, especially after that finales cliffhanger.

Sep 30, 2022 10:46 AM by thebrentinator24

I can't wait. It's getting really intense now. The cliffhanger was big.

Weird how they hadn’t announced this prior.

But Winter 2023 was expected.

Sep 30, 2022 10:24 AM by MadanielFL

Just a season wait.

Sep 30, 2022 10:09 AM by MegamiRem

It was inevitable, because it ended on a brutal cliffhanger and rumors were already spreading.
I'm just surprised it wasn't announced immediately.
